Chelsea Pinky, Glynn Pogue and Sade Parham are Brooklyn natives who first worked together as hosts of the podcast Black Girls Texting. They share a love of travel and of the glow they get in the sun, and wanted to celebrate sun-kissed darker skin. The brand's name honors a co-founder's Trinidadian mother, nicknamed 'Blue Water Girl'.
