Khamissa grew up in Chad. After time in the UAE, she was frustrated by how little high-end skincare was made in Africa. In 2018 her mother introduced her to Balanites oil, from a fruit she ate as a child, which led her to study formulation and African botanicals. Enudium's barrier-focused products are made with cosmetic chemists in South Africa.
