Meet VCurls, the clean curl-care line born inside a Virginia Beach curl salon, the stylist behind it, and the three-step styling routine now on our shelves.

Born behind the chair

VCurls comes out of Versus Salon, a curl-focused salon that has served Hampton Roads in Virginia Beach for more than 25 years. Its stylists have spent over a decade working hands-on with every curl pattern, from fine 2A waves that fall flat by noon to dense 4C coils that need deep, lasting moisture.

After years of testing product combinations on real clients with real textures, the team built the line they wished already existed: lightweight formulas made with clean ingredients. In the brand's words, VCurls was “developed by textured hair specialists, not a marketing team.”

Meet Michelle Williams

Michelle Williams is the curl specialist behind VCurls. She has been doing hair professionally since 2001, and today she's Salon Manager, Senior Curl Specialist and a Matrix Color Expert at Versus Salon. Her specialties span textures of all types, precision cutting and creative color.

Teaching is at the heart of her work. Her salon bio says she “loves educating staff and teaching clients how to embrace and care for their unique texture.” VCurls carries that same idea home: the routine she builds in the chair, in three bottles you can use yourself.

VCurls is designed for wavy, curly and coily hair across the full range:

• Loose waves (2A–2B) that need volume and definition without weight

Step 2: Seal

VCurls Humidity Resistant Glaze · $19.95

A finishing glaze powered by tamanu oil that seals in moisture and locks out humidity, the leading cause of frizz. You get flexible hold, lasting definition and shine with no flakes, crunch or drying alcohols. Wear it alone, or layer it over the foam for extra hold.

Step 3: Shine

VCurls Shine Mist · $19.95

A lightweight finishing spray with aloe vera, mango butter and tamanu oil. It smooths flyaways and adds healthy-looking shine without buildup or greasiness. Use it as your last step, or mid-week to bring curls back to life.
